API integration developer

WordPress API integrations that keep you synced

Your CRM, ERP, payment provider or supplier has an API, and your WordPress site should talk to it. I build WordPress API integrations that sync data both ways and run in the background, so nobody copies data by hand.

  • Two-way syncs
  • Background jobs with logs
  • API first, proven before the build

Sound familiar?

When your website and your other systems don’t talk

“We type the same data into three systems.”

An order or a lead comes in on the website, then someone copies it into the CRM, the accounting tool and a spreadsheet.

“Our integration stopped and nobody noticed.”

A plugin or an automation tool quietly stopped syncing, and the missing records only show up when a customer complains.

“There’s no plugin for our system.”

Your CRM, ERP or supplier has an API, but no WordPress plugin talks to it the way you work.

What I build

Custom WordPress integrations for the systems you run on

Every integration is written for your systems and your rules, and built to keep running when one side is slow or down.

Two-way syncs

Customers, orders and records kept the same in WordPress and your CRM or ERP, whichever side changes them.

Background jobs

API calls run in the background with Action Scheduler, so forms and checkouts stay fast and nothing is lost when a service is slow.

Gravity Forms integrations

Entries sent to your CRM, and lookups against your own data while people fill in the form.

Gravity Forms development →

WooCommerce integrations

Orders, stock and documents exchanged with your ERP, your supplier or a fulfilment API.

WooCommerce development →

Your own REST API

Custom endpoints and webhooks so other systems can send data to your site, with keys and permissions checked on every call.

Logs and alerts

Every call logged, failed calls retried, and an alert when something needs a person.

From a real project

A two-way sync between WordPress and an outside CRM

A group of contractor companies ran their sales in an outside CRM, while jobs, pay and paperwork lived in WordPress. Staff kept both up to date by hand.

Result: jobs and payments appear in WordPress without anyone retyping them.

What I built

  • Customers, jobs, contracts and payments synced both ways with the outside CRM
  • The sync runs in the background, so the forms and dashboards stay fast
  • Every company in the group kept separate, with its own users and data
  • Pay plans calculated from the synced jobs, with pay statements as PDFs

Johan’s custom work, communication and attention to all of the details were all spot on! A developer who is willing to work with you to arrive at the best solution, a partner really, is a valuable, rare find.

Connections

Systems I connect to WordPress

If it has an API, WordPress can talk to it. These are the connections I’m asked for most.

CRMs

ERPs

Accounting software

Payment providers

Email marketing

Registry and government APIs

Supplier and fulfilment APIs

Google Sheets and Drive

SMS

Webhooks

REST APIs

SOAP APIs

Proven before it’s built.

Before I build the integration, I test the hard part against the real API in a small proof of concept. You know it works before you pay for the full build.

How it works

How a WordPress API integration project works

01

Map the data

Which records move where, which side wins when both change, and what should happen when a call fails.

02

Prove the connection

A small proof of concept against the real API, before the integration is built around it.

03

Build and test

In a plugin on a staging site, with test data on both sides.

04

Monitor and support

Logs and alerts after launch, and updates when the other side changes its API.

Reviews

What clients say about working with me

  • I was stuck on getting custom coding done for my website. My Gravity Forms support person referred Geek on the Road. I reached out to Johan from Geek and also posted for help on Fiverr. Within hours, I received a response from both platforms. Johan is getting a 5-star review; the other fell behind.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you connect WordPress to our CRM?

If your CRM has an API, yes: records can be sent, updated and synced both ways.

What if our system has no API?

There is often still a way, like a scheduled import of an export file or a webhook from the other side. I’ll tell you honestly when it isn’t worth it.

Why not use Zapier or Make?

For a simple flow they work fine. Custom code is the better choice for two-way syncs, complex rules or high volumes, and it has no monthly fee per task.

What happens when the other system is down?

Calls run in the background and are retried. Failures are logged and reported, so nothing gets lost without anyone knowing.

Who keeps it running when the API changes?

I can, with a maintenance plan that includes checks of your integrations after every update.
