What is it?
Since v2.2 the Style tab of the Live Summary form settings starts with style presets. A preset applies a complete look to the summary in one click: the title, the summary lines, the page groups, the total and the bar at the bottom of the screen on mobile. Your fields, labels and all other settings are kept.

These presets come with the plugin:
- Original
The classic Live Summary look. Existing forms keep this look when you update the plugin. - Modern
A white card with rounded corners and light grey title and total bands; a summary grouped by page gets rounded group cards with a light grey header. This is the preset for new forms. - Minimal
No box, thin dividers, a plain title and a bold total on a single rule. - Receipt
A paper receipt: centred title, dashed dividers and a total on a dashed rule. - Dark
Dark grey summary with light text and darker title and total bands, and a dark mobile bar.
How to use it?
1. Open the Style tab
Open the settings of your form, click on “Live Summary” in the left hand menu and go to the Style tab. The presets are at the top. The card with the “Current” badge is the preset your form uses right now. When your styling does not match any preset, the Custom card is marked instead.
2. Apply a preset
Press the Apply button on a card. The settings in the panels below are filled in and saved right away, so anything else you changed on the page is kept. Reload your form to see the new look.
3. Finetune
Open the Title, Summary lines, Total or Form area panel below the presets and change whatever you like. The Current badge moves to the Custom card while you edit, so you can always see whether your styling still matches a preset. Read more about the panels here: Styling the summary
Happy with the result? Save it as a preset of your own and use it on your other forms, see Custom presets below.
Preset for new forms
New forms start with the Modern preset. You can change this under Forms > Settings > Live Summary with the “Preset for new forms” setting. Existing forms keep their styling.

Live Summary fields
Live Summary fields inside the form follow the preset as well, as long as “Use the form’s summary styling” is ticked on the Appearance tab of the field (it is by default). Read more here: Styling the summary field
Developer hooks
gotrls_style_presets to add or change presets
gotrls_default_style_preset to change the preset for new forms
gotrls_theme_tokens to change which colours of the Gravity Forms Orbital theme are copied onto the side summary as CSS variables, for presets and colour settings that use them
Custom presets
Since v2.2 you can save the styling of a form as a preset of your own. A custom preset is available on every form of your website, so you set up the look once and apply it everywhere. Next to the title, the lines, the page groups, the mobile bar, the shadow and the total, a custom preset also keeps the line layout, the background behind form and summary and the form area styling.
How to use it?
1. Style a form
Open the Style tab of the Live Summary settings of a form and set up the look you want, starting from one of the built-in presets if you like. Read more here: Styling the summary
2. Save as preset
Press “Save as preset” on the Style presets panel, give the preset a name and save. The styling on the page is saved with the form at the same time. Your preset now shows up as a card between the built-in presets, on this form and on every other form of the site.

3. Apply it on another form
Open the Style tab of another form and press Apply on the card of your preset. That is all.

Update, rename and delete
- Update
Apply your preset on a form, change the styling and press Update on its card. The Update button only appears when the styling on the page differs from the saved preset. When other forms use the preset you get the choice to apply the new styling to those forms as well. - Used by
The card tells you how many forms use the preset. Click on it to see which forms. - Rename
Change the name of the preset. The forms that use it are not touched. - Delete
Removes the preset from the list. Forms that use it keep their styling, they just no longer show a Current badge for it.

Site wide settings, export and import
Under Forms > Settings > Live Summary you find the Style presets section. Here you set the preset for new forms and you see all your custom presets in a list, with the forms that use each one. This is also the place to move presets to another website:
- Export
Tick one or more presets and press “Export selected”, or use the Export button of a single preset. You get a JSON file. - Import
On the other website, press “Import presets”, pick the JSON file and the presets are added to the list. A preset with the same name as an existing one is imported as a copy.
