What is it?

Since v2.2 you can copy the Live Summary settings of one form into another form, so you don’t have to set up every form from scratch. You choose what to copy: the General settings, the Content settings, the Style settings and the visible fields.

How to use it?

1. Open the Tools tab

Open the settings of the form that should receive the settings, click on “Live Summary” in the left hand menu and go to the Tools tab. Find the “Copy settings from another form” panel.

2. Pick the form to copy from

Select a form in the “Copy from” dropdown. Only forms that have Live Summary settings are listed. The options appear once a form is selected.

3. Choose what to copy

  • General
Where and when the summary shows: side, width, sticky, mobile and the page options.
  • Content
The title, the totals, the product options and the empty summary text.
  • Style
The styling of the title, the lines, the page groups, the mobile bar, the total and the form area. Off by default. For a look you want to reuse on many forms, a custom preset is the better option.
  • Visible fields and their order
The fields selected for the side summary. Fields are matched on their ID, so this is meant for forms that were duplicated from each other. Fields that do not exist in this form are skipped.

4. Copy

Press “Copy settings”. The chosen settings replace the ones of this form and are saved right away; everything you did not tick stays as it is. The page reloads so you can check the result on the other tabs.

Note: a form has to be saved once before settings can be copied into it. On a brand new form, save the form first.
