What is it?
Gravity Forms shows an order summary with your products and the total on the entry page and in the {all_fields} and {pricing_fields} merge tags. When your form has a visible EU VAT field, the plugin shows its own version of that summary, with the VAT on a separate line.

The lines
Every product gets a line with its options, the quantity, the price of one item including its options, and the line total. Below the products you find:
- Subtotal: all products together.
- Coupons: one line per coupon with the discount.
- Shipping: the shipping method and its price.
- The VAT line, see below.
- Total: the amount your customer paid.
The VAT line
| Situation | VAT line | Added to the total? |
|---|---|---|
| Prices without VAT (default) | Your field label (for example “EU VAT”) with the VAT amount | Yes |
| Prices without VAT, reverse charge | Your field label with €0,00 | Nothing to add |
| Prices include VAT | Includes VAT (21%) with the VAT that is in the price | No, it is already in the prices |
| Prices include VAT, reverse charge | VAT reverse charged (removed) with a negative amount | Yes, it lowers the total to the price without VAT |
The percentage in “Includes VAT (21%)” is the rate that applied to that customer.
Note: when the VAT field was hidden, for example for a customer outside the EU, the normal Gravity Forms order summary is shown. While GP eCommerce Fields is active, its own order summary is shown instead, with the VAT as one of the lines.
